The Johnson STEAM Academy parent teacher association (PTA) is a nonprofit group of parents and teachers. We work to support Johnson STEAM Academy by providing additional resources when needed. We also work to build a strong sense of community at our school.

The PTA helps fund our GREAT before and after school enrichment classes, the library birthday book program, music lessons with scholarships, sponsoring the fifth grade graduation celebration, helping pay for guest artist visits, and supporting the staff with conference meals and a staff appreciation celebration week.

Additionally, the PTA helps build a sense of school community by organizing and funding fun events such as the harvest hoopla, the winter dance, and blues and BBQ.

Becoming a member is easy! Simply contact any officer or attend a PTA meeting held the first Monday of the month. Our meetings have a free meal at 5:30 p.m., and start at 6 p.m. All meetings have free child care.

Fundraising

The PTA funds these programs by holding various fundraisers and raising money for programs by collecting Box Tops for Education and Hy-Vee receipts, and shopping on AmazonSmile.
